Hawaii Council of Community Associations

The Hawaii Council of Associations of Apartment Owners (HCAAO) was incorporated on November 24, 1975. It is a Section 501(c)(6) non-profit entity. In 2010, the Council adopted a policy to include community associations in its organization so that it is now known as the Hawaii Council of Community Associations (HCCA) and it serves condominium, cooperative housing and planned community associations. HCCA provides educational services, including the dissemination of information and data relating to the ownership, operation and management of residential apartments or community associations, including but not limited to financial and tax issues relating to the operation of condominiums and cooperative housing corporations; repair and maintenance of the common elements; security; building and insurance requirements; benefits and burdens of leasehold interests; governance issues; and Federal, State and local legislation.
